Description:
This one-day course focuses on developing foundation skills, knowledge and confidence in managing medical emergencies including cardiac arrest.
The course can be tailored towards clinicians working in the following areas using relevant clinical equipment in line with your scope of practice.
• General Practice
• Pre-Hospital / First Response
• Community Health Facilities
• Ward-based clinical areas
Who Should Participate?
The course is designed for clinicians who don’t regularly manage patients requiring emergency care such as ward-based clinicians, GP’s, registered nurses, medical students or interns.
Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites for this course. We will send you the Australian Resuscitation Council Advanced Life Support course manual four weeks before the course commencement for self-guided pre-reading. Course materials also include an optional multiple-choice exam with answers and explanations supplied for self-assessment.
Dress
Neat casual clothing suitable for hands-on CPR practice and enclosed footwear.
